A new world record with a 9mm caliber pistol has been set in Buenos Aires, Argentina, by shooter Julio Ricardo Villa, Document 28.756.983. The feat was achieved in an open field using the Olympic Shooting stance, targeting a white metal silhouette measuring 160 cm by 47 cm, with no time limit. The discipline requires the shooter to use only one hand with an unmodified factory 9mm caliber pistol. The first test begins at a distance of 150 meters, with only three chances to hit the target. If successful at that distance, the shooter earns the opportunity to attempt a new record at 160 meters, and so on, increasing the distance by 10 meters with each successful shot.
