World’s Largest Ken Doll Collection

Collector Bernardo Guedes, from Brazil, a journalist by profession, owns the largest collection of Ken dolls in the world. His passion for the Ken doll began at a young age, as he identified with the doll, as well as with the Barbie universe.
The idea of ​​collecting came after he was an adult, when he met one of the biggest Barbie collectors in Brazil while doing an article. “I told him about my passion for Ken dolls and he invited me to participate in a collectors meeting. From then on, my collection began”, he says in an interview given in 2018 to the newspaper RankBrasil.

His first Ken was acquired in 1985 and since then his collection has continued to grow, currently having a fantastic collection made up of 150 Ken dolls.
Bernardo has already given several interviews on television and newspapers to talk/show his collection to the Brazilian media.
It is interesting to know that the Ken doll was created by the North American company Mattel in 1961. Along with the replicas, a vast line of clothes and accessories appeared. In Brazil, the original launch took place through Estrela, in 1984, under the name “Bob”, but started to be called Ken a few years later.
All dolls are in perfect condition and stored in their original boxes.
