The virtual indoor race with the highest participation

The virtual indoor race with the highest participation took place on Marcha 28th 2020 with an accredited number of 15.210 participants.

This test was organized by Daniel Martino (Argentina 1.976) It was a test organized as a tribute to the Argentine health teams who contacted courage and enthusiasm faced the pandemic, hence its title: “20 minutes for health”.

The race, promoted from Facebook , already had at 2 hours with 1000 inscriptions, although in the beginning Daniel had more doubts than certainties.

In this race, a nurse made a few minutes of the event from the guard of a hospital, that was what mobilized them the most, it was incredible and exciting to see her run almost on tiptoe so as not to make noise through the corridors of the hospital, symbolically she was declared winner of the event, although for us all are winners.

When the race ended, people began to upload the evidence of their participation, and there was another surprise, hundreds of videos, thousands of photos, messages … the organizers never wanted what they were living to end, the people’s thanks award, the one they took as a memory for a lifetime.

Each participant has been able to take the preferred sports initiative (exercise bike, treadmill, running at home, swimming …).

It was a mandatory requirement to take a registration (photo, video, Facebook, Instagram).

It has been a career full of human validity, not on the streets, but inside confined homes. In the dedications section Daniel wants to thank his son Matías, his family, his friends and of course the entire Argentine health corps.
