Best single Speed Event 24 hours
The Portuguese ultra-cyclist Tiago Cardoso has been the protagonist of what we have considered to date as the best event in the 24-hour “single speed” bicycle modality. We say this because in the same event the same athlete registered several record marks. The incipient cycling modality “single speed”, which is growing exponentially among lovers of this sport, consists of reducing the bicycle to its purest essence, without elements distracting from its primary function. It is a bicycle that does not have a gearshift system, which would be the closest thing to the first bicycle we had in childhood. To the record of Tiago Cardoso, already epic in itself, (it is not within the reach of anyone to stay 24 hours on a bicycle at a competitive level) it would be necessary to add an epic bonus if possible for having managed to carry out a feat of this type in…

A true giant hidden under the waters. In terms of width, the Mesoatlantic ridge has an extension that occupies approximately 1,500 kilometers in its most important parts, and in terms of the height of its peaks it only exceeds 3,000 meters in the points closest to the surface, so it is light years from the highest mountains on the earth’s surface. The Fastest Slingshot
In the above video, Jörg Sprave of The Slingshot Channel fires a 1-inch steel ball with an arm-braced slingshot, at a speed of 207 feet per second. It’s a new world record! Probably. The video helpfully includes the raw numbers and math behind this conversion. His arm-braced slingshot fired a shot a 135 Joules, beating his leg-operated model’s best shot of 131 Joules. If these are in fact world records, I’d implore Sprave to get Guinness around to…
