Christmas world records: Tallest sand Santa Claus

Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created on Christmas eve a 45 feet high Santa Claus, assisted by 20 students. He is a professor at Sudarsan Sand Art Institute of Puri. The Santa Claus statue has a message: “World Peace”. The world’s tales Santa was made using more than 1000 tonnes of sand, some coloured. The work team took 22 hours in two days to buid up the structure. Sudarsan also created two more figures, the Mother Mary and Lord Jesus.
