Ultramarathon runner Tiago Cardoso, Team Bicicletas Brasil, five times Regional Champion of the Ribatejo Norte Trophy in the Single Speed ​​class and current 12 Hour European Champion in Single Speed ​​by WEMBO, a title he also achieved in Mação, already holding a World Record, held the On the 14th and 15th of September, another World Record event with the Official World Record, where he managed to achieve on his original single speed mountain bike (gear ratio used was 30 – 20), the altimetry of 8,904 meters (even exceeding the altitude of Mount Everest, which is 8,848 meters above sea level), during the 24 hour event.

The track was 0.79 km long and had an altitude of 28 meters per lap.
The adventure began at 10:00 am on the Boavista track, in Mação, where more than 70% of the circuit was dirt and where it contained two climbs of 12% and 8% incline respectively, the athlete had the help from the athletes and friends of São Miguel Bike, who were tireless in their help and support throughout the event.

All of them were super important in the support and supply that he received throughout this feat that he just established, and for this adventure to be carried out, the athlete also had the support of his family, Célia, Catarina and Lourenço Cardoso, who were very important in the support and training sessions that were carried out, Sergio Lenir and Maria João for the support and sponsorship of Bicicletas Brasil with Renato Gonçalves, who despite not being able to accompany me this time, still designed the control system for laps around the circuit, Pedro Gois from Black Dog, for the support and help with the videos and logistics as well and a huge thank you to the Mayor of Mação, Dr. Vasco Estrela, for his availability, help and for believing in this event, because without him we wouldn’t have the circuit to set the world record.
